This notice explains what personal data we collect when you use this website or contact us, why we collect it, and what rights you have. We have tried to write it so it can actually be read.
Who we are
Step Into AI is a trading name of Manchester PC Services Ltd, company number 13356970, registered at Jactin House, 24 Hood Street, Ancoats, Manchester, M4 6WX. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. You can contact us about privacy at info@stepinto-ai.com.
What we collect and why
When you send a form
When you book a demo or contact us we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, industry, team size and anything you write in the message box. We use this to respond to your enquiry, arrange the demo and, where you have agreed, tell you about Step Into AI. Our lawful basis is your consent for marketing contact, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
We also record where your visit came from (for example a search engine or an advert), the page you landed on, and the time of your first visit. This helps us understand which marketing works. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest.
When you browse the site
Our hosting provider records standard server logs including IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps. These are used for security and to keep the site running. They are kept for a limited period and then deleted.
With your consent, we use Google and Meta tags to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and, if enabled, Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. These tools set cookies only after you accept them on the banner. See our cookie notice for details.
When you become a customer
Customers are covered by our terms of service and data processing terms. Where we process your customers' personal data inside the platform, we act as your processor and you remain the controller.
Who we share data with
We share data only with providers that help us run the business, under contract: our UK hosting provider, our email provider, and, with consent, the advertising and analytics platforms named above. We do not sell personal data. A list of platform subprocessors is on our subprocessors page.
International transfers
The website and our records are hosted in the United Kingdom. Some providers, such as advertising platforms and AI model providers, may process data outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK addendum to EU standard contractual clauses, or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep data
Enquiry records are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a customer or ask us to delete them sooner. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days. Customer data is kept for the life of the contract and then deleted or returned in line with our data processing terms.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email info@stepinto-ai.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We will update this notice when our practices change and show the date at the top of the page.
