Hosting & Maintenance
Managed hosting and maintenance that keeps your digital front door open.
UK hosting, backups, updates, monitoring and a person to call, plus a defined maintenance allowance for the changes every business needs. Not cheap disk space. A reliable, connected environment for the site that brings you enquiries.
Hosting and maintenance, and why they belong together
Managed website hosting means someone is responsible for keeping your site online, fast, backed up and secure, rather than you renting space and hoping. Website maintenance means the ongoing work a site needs: software and security updates, checking that forms still submit, that the booking link still works, that the phone number is still right, and making the small content changes a business needs every month.
Cheap shared hosting does the first badly and the second not at all. The common result is a site that has drifted out of date, a plugin that broke the contact form months ago, and a login that only the previous designer had. For a business whose enquiries start on the website, that is lost revenue that nobody notices.
Step Into AI provides both as one recurring service, with clearly defined scopes. Hosting covers the infrastructure. Maintenance covers updates, checks and a monthly allowance of content changes. Work beyond the allowance is quoted separately, so you always know what is included.
The problem
Cheap hosting is cheap until the site goes down on a Saturday.
Nobody watching
The site has been down for two days and the first you hear is from a customer.
Updates never applied
Plugins and platforms drift out of date until something breaks or gets hacked.
Who has the login?
The previous designer, possibly. Nobody is sure.

UK data centres
Sites hosted in the UK with fast delivery and HTTPS included.
Daily backups
Backups stored separately from the live site, with restores tested.
Security and software updates
Platform and plugin updates applied and checked, so nothing drifts out of date.
Uptime and performance monitoring
Alerts come to us as well as you. Problems are usually fixed before you hear about them.
Form and conversion-path checks
Forms, booking links and tracked phone numbers tested regularly so enquiries keep arriving.
Monthly change allowance
A defined allowance for content updates, new pages and small changes each month.
Domain and DNS help
We manage your domain and email records on your behalf, with the domain staying in your name.
Integration monitoring
The connection between your site and the CRM, receptionist and follow-up is checked, not assumed.
Support from Manchester
Email and phone support from the people who built and host the site.
What you get
Outcomes, not features.
- Fast, secure site with no maintenance on your side
- Backups you can actually restore from
- One number to call when something is wrong
- Domain and email management included if you want it
You stay in control
You keep ownership of your domain. We manage it on your behalf only with your authority.
How we handle your data is set out on our security and data processing pages.
How approval settings workWho it is for
- Businesses whose site was built by someone who has moved on
- Owners who do not want to think about hosting, updates or backups again
- Sites built by Step Into AI, where hosting and maintenance are included
- Existing WordPress or static sites that need looking after and connecting to the platform
Worth knowing before you decide
- Maintenance has a defined monthly allowance. Larger changes, redesigns and new features are quoted separately so the service stays predictable for both of us.
- We host WordPress and static sites. Sites on proprietary builders usually cannot be moved without rebuilding.
- Hosting keeps a site online and secure. It does not by itself make a site rank or convert; that is the website and content work.
- Backups are taken daily. Changes made in the last day may not be recoverable if a problem occurs before the next backup.
Examples
In practice
Short examples of how businesses use it. Illustrations of the configured workflow, not customer case studies.
The site that went down on a Saturday
Uptime monitoring alerts us at 7am. The site is restored from backup before the showroom opens and the owner hears about it from us, not from a customer.
The form that stopped working
A routine check finds a plugin update has broken the enquiry form. It is fixed the same day. Previously it would have been weeks before anyone noticed.
Monthly changes without a designer
A salon adds a new treatment, updates prices and changes opening hours for the bank holiday, all within the monthly allowance.
Connected
Works with the rest of the platform
Each part is useful on its own. Together they own the whole customer journey.
