Reviews & Reactivation
Your next customer may already be in your database.
Your best marketing is the customers you already have. Step Into AI asks for the review at the right moment and reaches out to customers who have gone quiet, all from the records you already keep.
Two jobs, one source of data
Customer reactivation means contacting the people who have used you before and gone quiet: the boiler service that is due, the lash infill that is overdue, the roof that has not been checked since the storm two winters ago. Review request automation means asking every customer for a Google review at the right moment, the day after the job, with the concerns routed to you first.
Both depend on knowing who your customers are, what you did for them and when. Because Step Into AI holds that in the CRM, both can run from the same data without a separate mailing list that is always out of date. Consent and opt-outs are recorded on the customer record, and reactivation batches wait for your approval before they go.
The problem
Happy customers do not leave reviews unless asked. Old customers do not come back unless reminded.
Great work, three reviews
Years of happy customers and a Google profile that looks like you started last month.
Annual work forgotten
Boiler services, gutter clears, treatment top-ups. Revenue that only needs a reminder.
No list to work from
Old customers exist in invoices, not in a list you could actually contact.
How it works
Triggered by what happens in your business
Because jobs, appointments and customers all live in the CRM, review requests and reactivation messages can be triggered automatically and personalised properly.
- Job completeYouJob marked complete in the CRM
- Or invoice marked paid, if you prefer
- Review requestAutoText with a direct link to your Google profile
- Sent a day later, when the good feeling is fresh
- Unhappy?AILow ratings routed to you first
- Fix the problem before it becomes public
- Quiet customersAutoCustomers not seen in 6 or 12 months flagged
- "It has been a year since your last service"
- ReactivationYouPersonal message with an easy way to book
- Approved by you before the batch goes out
What you get
Outcomes, not features.
- A steady flow of Google reviews from real customers
- Repeat and seasonal work booked before the customer forgets
- Problems caught privately before they become public reviews
- Marketing that costs nothing but a message
You stay in control
Choose the timing, the wording and whether reactivation batches need approval. Exclude any customer with one tap.
How we handle your data is set out on our security and data processing pages.
How approval settings workWho it is for
- Businesses with years of past customers in invoices but no list to contact
- Trades with annual or seasonal repeat work
- Salons and clinics with treatments that fall due
- Any business with a Google profile that does not reflect how good the work is
Worth knowing before you decide
- Step Into AI is in early access. Review requests and reactivation campaigns are set up and run with you by our team rather than switched on self-service, and some capabilities described here are still being rolled out. We will tell you plainly what is live for your setup before you commit.
- Review requests must be sent to every customer, not just the happy ones, and must not offer incentives.
- Reactivation needs a customer list with contact details. If your history is only in an accounts package, we import it at onboarding.
- Promotional messages need consent or a valid existing customer relationship with a clear opt-out.

Is it allowed to ask for reviews?
Yes. Asking every customer for an honest review is fine. What you must not do is offer incentives or only ask customers you expect to be positive. Step Into AI asks everyone and routes concerns to you first so they can be resolved.
What about customers who did not opt in to marketing?
Service messages about work you have done, such as a review request or a reminder that a service is due, are generally treated differently from marketing. We help you set the rules and keep records of consent for anything promotional.
